A leading Facilities Management company is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Bid Designer to join them working on international FM bids. This role is a working from home with occasional trips to a local office. Previous experience of the Facilities Management sector is a considerable advantage but not essential.
Purpose of the Job
To plan, develop, set and deliver a comprehensive design strategy for the Global Strategic Accounts team to engage a broad range of executive stakeholders to meet both tactical and longer term needs
Lead and manage the Global Strategic Account bid design team and mentor regional bid design teams to create high impact graphics and proposal images that contribute towards producing a winning proposal and meeting client expectations
Ensure our brand integrity is maintained across Global Corporate Services sales function
Work as an integral part of the global bid team to ensure all customer facing documentation/media is of the highest visual impact

Support all strategic account bids globally from a design perspective to achieve the annual business development target for Global Strategic Accounts
Context and main issues
Provide expertise and consult with a wide range of senior stakeholders to visualize concepts and interpret their vision for the bids to translate that into design outputs which will enrich the stock library
Relationship management is a key challenge of the role and demands the ability to be sensitive to the needs of all key stakeholders
Ability to engage the stakeholders with new and innovative ways to present proposals and presentations to ensure the brand is always portrayed as cutting edge whilst working within the brand guidelines
Ability to manage the teams’ workload to ensure the deadlines are met and highest quality is delivered
Prioritisation is a key skill necessary in this role as is the ability to manage expectations while maintaining close relationships
Main assignments
Provide guidance and expertise in the usage of the latest software to create graphical outputs that can be incorporated in tender documents and accompanying materials such as videos, animation, brochures, narrative documents, websites, and other media as specified by the client
Develop and oversee the implementation of design initiatives to support the effective proposal presentation as part of the bidding process
Work with the central account teams to identify design needs to effectively engage with the retained client organisation – ensuring key messages are appropriately visualised and supporting the development of content used by senior account leaders to convey the account strategy
Work with a range of software and design tools to create high-end graphical outputs
Produce bid graphics for use both in electronic and (limited) hard copy materials
Keep abreast of the latest design innovation in the marketplace to ensure we can benefit from the most up-to-date solution and technologies
Work with subject matter experts to turn written, numerical and existing content into compelling graphical representations
Provide coaching and support for the teams on design best practice
Accountabilities
Manage the team to create compelling designs, illustrations and graphics in a variety of formats, including but not limited to: high profile corporate publications, digital presentations, video and animation, , infographics, web pages, web design elements, digital and social media content, exhibition materials and visual material
Lead the team to develop an “identity” for a bid and being responsible for ensuring brand presence across a variety of project types and media
Lead the creative direction of Global Strategic Account proposals and presentations, ensuring brand guidelines are met and the content is presented with the highest quality as well as developing new ways to innovate the overall look and feel of the bids
Provide graphic design expertise to peers and colleagues and up-skilling colleagues within Global Strategic Accounts and regions
Manage a team and work in a deadline orientated environment without compromising quality, accuracy or creativity
Person Specification
Minimum of 10 years’ experience of professional design, either in-house or agency, ideally working within a complex environment
Professional or higher degree in creative/artistic discipline
Excellent command of English language and keen attention to detail
Expert level skills in Graphic Design software such as – but not limited to – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffects, Acrobat
Expert level skills in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, as well as Word and SharePoint applications. Knowledge of VBA code writing for PowerPoint a plus.
Experience working and collaborating in a multi-national environment with diverse, cross cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
A track record of improving bids, thereby creating confidence amongst the sales force that you can be trusted and be treated as an equal member of the sales team.
Proven skills in producing graphical content within a complex business environment
