A fashion-forward womenswear supplier based in Central London is currently recruiting for a Womenswear Junior Designer with outerwear experience to join the head office team.
As a Junior Designer you will be responsible for creating on-trend women's outerwear designs keeping inline with their customer's brief, you will work closely with the sales team to attend design/development meetings with high street retail buyers. You will attend inspirational trips, comp shops, fashion shows and trade shows when necessary.
The ideal applicant must have previous multi-product womenswear or Outerwear Design experience working for a high street retailer or fashion supplier at a similar level. You must have strong research and trend awareness skills, demonstrating exceptional experience designing on-trend yet commercial outerwear designs. You must have previous experience working with Far East factories with knowledge of garment construction and managing the development process. It is essential you have excellent CAD and I.T skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe programs, along with strong communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills.
