This client has been developing award-winning new products, for a diverse range of industries, covering product, consumer, medical device design projects. They are currently recruiting a Design Engineer with medical or consumer goods experience.
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate closely with software and electronics engineering counterparts to conduct research, design, and develop mechanical components and mechanisms. This role will play a crucial part in advancing the product and overall system, all while adhering to stringent medical device quality assurance and regulatory standards.
Ideation of wide-ranging high-level design concepts that offer innovative solutions to difficult design challenges.
Rapid prototyping of designs (in-house where possible).
Hands-on testing of prototypes to identify strengths and weaknesses.
Developing designs from early-stage concepts to fully developed products.
Report writing for technical file compilation.
Individual programme planning and contributing to role-specific R&D planning.
Working with management on managing and developing intellectual property.As the Design Engineer you would ideally have the below qualifications / experiences:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, design engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated industrial experience in mechanical, mechanism, and/or mechatronics design.
Familiarity with Design for Manufacture (DFM).
Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks, although proficiency in other software will be considered.
