Primary Teacher

Salary : £130 – £200/day
Prospero Teaching are looking for a positive and reliable primary teacher to work in Year 1 in an improving school in Manchester. The primary teacher position is to start as soon as possible and will continue for a minimum of six weeks, potentially ongoing. The school welcomes applications from primary teachers with experience in EYFS and KS1, but would ideally like to appoint a teacher who has worked in Year 1 before. They are looking for an experienced primary teacher with excellent curriculum knowledge, and someone who has in-depth Phonics knowledge. A strong, positive style of behaviour management is essential, and the school particularly like people who go above and beyond to build good relationships with the children, and make them feel safe, valued and confident in their learning.
As the Year 1 class teacher, you will be responsible for all day to day classroom responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment. If you remain in the role on an ongoing basis you will be required to conduct the Phonics Check, the end of term assessments and write the annual end of year reports.
To be eligible to apply for this role, you must have completed your ECT terms.
You must have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to process a new one at a cost of £45.80. You will need to provide references covering the last 2 full years
