On behalf of our client, a leading natural foods company, we are seeking a talented Middleweight Designer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in producing creative designs and artwork for print and digital, including animation, for their leading 100% natural fruit & nut bar brands.
Location: St Albans (Hybrid work-from-home options available)
Please note: all candidates applying for this role will be required to take a Hudson test which has 4 parts covering verbal reasoning, numerical, abstract and then a behavioural questionnaire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Producing creative designs and artwork for print and digital, including animation.
* Multi-tasking to ensure attention to detail remains, and having the ability to accept critique and build on creative work.
* Interpreting different briefs and working collaboratively with the Creative Manager across a wide range of projects.
* Ideally, a middleweight designer with experience in a creative agency or a similar flexible in-house role.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Adobe software; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and AfterEffects, and the experience to know which software to use for each task. Skills using 3D software packages would be an advantage.
* A solid commercial knowledge of print – specifically packaging and POS – and be confident working with single and multiple language designs across all media.
* Experience in taking direction and the ability to apply this creatively across print and digital projects, from packaging and POS to social media and animation.
* Experience using Adobe AfterEffects.
* Confidence with the MS365 suite including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
* A meticulous nature to ensure accuracy and brand consistency across multiple tasks.
* A flexible, broad-minded attitude to protect our brands’ integrity but also push boundaries where appropriate.
* A calm head to work on multiple assignments directly or in association with other members of the team as directed, ensuring that all projects are carried out efficiently, of a high standard, and in a timely manner.
* An organized brain to develop and maintain creative asset libraries and centralized resources, following established studio operating procedures.
