An exciting opportunity has become available with one of our long standing clients based in the central belt. Our client is looking for a Landscape Architect to come join them on a full-time, permanent basis. This opportunity would ideally suit someone who has 1-2 years experience, however those who with less are also welcome to apply as full training will be provided.
Due to continued project wins and a refined focus within their specialist area, our client is looking for a like-minded Landscape architect to join their established team based in the central belt. You will be joining a team that has a passion for supporting the transition to net zero and a keen interest within the renewable energy sector. As a landscape architect you will be involved in projects which focus on renewable energy and electricity transmission infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Environmental & Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) which will support projects seeking to respond to environmental challenges which are impacting todays society.
As a Landscape Architect you will be responsible for the below:
* Baseline studies
* Collaborate with other environmental specialists on projects
* Liaise with inhouse EIA specialists
* Regular site visits to undertake visual and landscape surveys
* Background data collection
* Participate in external and internal team meetings related to projects and on going studies
* Liaise with internal staff to prepare materials for presentations to a range of external stakeholders.
* Prepare relevant visuals and figures to present both physically and written.
* Prepare and assist where necessary of presentation materials.
* Prepare supporting documentation and project inputs for the relevant LVIA chapters.

The key skills / knowledge / experience required:
* Degree in a relevant discipline – Landscape Archiecture etc. (Degree / Masters)
* Previous experience of AutoCAD, ArcGIS. Any other packages are welcomed.
* Previous experience / knowledge of LIVA work
* Chartership status or pursing the pathway to chartership
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Knowledge of UK Planning policies, systems and legislation
* A keen interest in grid sectors and the renewable energy industry
* Must be able to adapt to changing project requirements
* Good creative skills would be advantageous
