Based in Uxbridge until March 2024 – then relocating to Chiswick, West London

Hybrid working 3 days in office, 2 days from home

Salary: £60k- £65k

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Reporting Accountant to join a small group Finance team in a prestigious British luxury interior design company. This is a great opportunity for a qualified Accountant looking to gain industry experience for a UK Public company.

As Group Reporting Accountant, you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller, to ensure that the Group's statutory reporting for shareholders and for the UK Stock Exchange are prepared to the highest standards and within the Group's reporting guidelines, policies and deadlines.

You will also be responsible for Head Office accounting, and other external reporting and assist with taxation and audit matters.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the completion of external announcements and annual/interim reports to meet the UK regulatory requirements
Provide technical accounting guidance across the Group: Board, senior management and divisional finance teams in accordance with IFRS & UK GAAP
Prepare UK statutory accounts including dormant companies
Manage communications and liaison on behalf of the Group with external auditors and advisors
Lead the Group consolidation processes including the consolidated Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and the support accounting policies and notes to the financial statements
Support Finance teams based in other UK sites through the year end processes
Draft, redraft communication and manage the implementation of accounting policies within the new Group's Financial Reporting Manual, procedures and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting
Responsible for the monthly management accounts and budget for the Head Office
Assist the Group Financial Controller in taxation and audit matters
Prepare external reports for other governmental agencies such as the ONS surveys Skills & Experience

Personal Specification:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
2 years of PQE, preferably with an audit background
Preparing consolidated financial statements for listed companies
Experience of multi-national group consolidation under IFRS
Working technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
Experience in managing audit processes within a listed business

Our client supports hybrid working with 2 days of the working week based at home. The role is based on a 37.5 working week. Please note the role will initially be based in Uxbridge, then relocate to Chiswick, West London in March 2024.
