Pre Press Artworker

Pre Press / Artworker – Packaging & Labels
Location: Aylesbury

Company: A leading packaging and self-adhesive labels company.
Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established company, predominately creating print ready artwork, working on food and beverage packaging and/or labels.
Responsibilities:
* Preparation/creation of artwork for digital & flexographic label printing production
* Check all artworks supplied and prepare them for printing
* Ensure artwork proofs are accurately created and proofed on time
* Inputting accurate information into a Management Information System
* Liaise with Prepress manager, customer services team and customers to ensure timelines are met
* Work closely with the pre-press manager to plan jobs going into production
* Order plates
* Send jobs to the HP Indigo
Requirements:
* Experience producing print ready artwork
* Previous / current experience working within packaging and labels
* Repro experience beneficial
* Knowledge of print processes such as digital, flexographic, hot foiling and screen printing
* Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
* Good understanding of colour management software
* Good understanding of HP Indigo DFE – advantageous
* Knowledge of workflow systems – advantageous
