Are you a youth worker looking to make the transition into supporting pupils in school? One of our partnered schools is seeking a youth worker to support pupils with challenging behaviour.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced, motivated and resilient Youth Worker to support students in a Secondary SEMH school in Halifax. The school is for students in Keys Stages 3 and 4 with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying SEMH.

The position is open to all experienced support workers and those that have a background in youth work, sports coaching, support work or have any other experience of mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Hours – 8:30 am – 3.30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in a similar setting
LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable but not essential TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
