Job Type : Contract, Full Time

Salary : £20 – £25/hour

Architectural CAD Technician required to join an SME Architectural Practice in Wakefield on a contract basis for an initial 6-12 months.

The ideal Architectural Technician will be suitably qualified and have a number of years' worth of experience in an Architectural Technician / technologist role within the residential sector, this experience can be from either a residential developer or Architectural Practice background. We are looking for someone who has good experience in producing house type construction / building regulation drawings for new build houses.

Competencies of the Architectural Technician

Proficient knowledge of AutoCad LT software.
Experience of producing site layouts, feasibility sketches / sites appraisals.
Co ordinating and submitting planning applications.
Knowledge of Revit is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Good knowledge and understanding of UK Building regulations
Have previous experience of managing various projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
Excellent attention to detail.
Able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Previous siter based job running experience.

Experience / background

*Degree or HNC qualified Architectural Technician / Technologist

*Architectural Technician / Technologist background with at least 5-10 years practice experience.

*Familiar with working in an Architectural Practice / residential developer.

*Extensive experience at working on projects within the Residential sector to include volume housing.

*A full UK driving licence

Hourly rate depending on experience / suitability between £20.00-£25.00 per hour.
