The role:

Know your stuff when it comes to designing eye-catching creative? As their Junior Graphic Designer, you will be the custodian of the brand identity within the business, ensuring that the brand is represented consistently across all touch points. You will be joining a nurturing environment that encourages colleagues to develop, perform and excel at what they do and provides plenty of opportunities for career progression. They have an exemplary record of developing people from the ground up and many of their senior creatives and marketers started in relatively junior roles.

Working within the Marketing team, you will create inspiring and engaging design content across several channels (including print, POS and digital) creating eye catching campaigns and assets that support business growth ambitions. As well as creating graphics for the business, the role will also include hands on creative tasks, including content for the social channels and website.

The work has a lean towards the property and lifestyle sectors and you will work on an eclectic mix of online and offline projects which will relate to either existing or new brands – you’ll work on the latter from the ground up, so plenty of room to utilise your true creativity. The work will include everything from modern and finely executed printed material to engaging online assets and advertising, and both small and large-scale projects.

What we’re looking for:

First and foremost, we're looking for a creative who has a clean and modern approach, and who appreciates the simplicity and elegance of balanced design, who can not only come up with ideas and well-thought-out concepts but deliver on a wide range of briefs. You'll be able to work with stylish imagery and appreciate the use of white space and subtle typography and be comfortable with both online and offline design and marketing. You’ll have a strong and varied portfolio and be most likely be operating in an agency environment or in-house with a brand that has a lifestyle or consumer edge to it.

This role will suit someone looking to work in an environment where design tasks can be very varied, with the flexibility to work across several different kinds of platforms, including digital, print, presentation documents. You will need to be a fast-thinking person with good attention to detail. Up to date knowledge and excellent skills in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. Skills in AfterEffects and Premier Pro desirable but not necessity – it would just help a tad.

It will suit a brave and gutsy creative, familiar with all forms of creative assets and communication platforms, and keen to learn and understand more about those you're not familiar with. You’ll also be not averse to getting stuck into a mix of projects and campaigns and be able to take direction, and to work within their established visual style, but also not be shy about proposing new ideas. You’ll have a good knowledge of trends in the design industry and social media and be able to apply this to your work. You will be happy working on a varied set of tasks and be able to context-switch and prioritise.
