Role Purpose:
To manage all aspects of Architectural Design to the required standards within the Architectural Design Studio for Concertus Design and Property Consultants.

Leadership:
Proactively line manage your direct report(s), holding responsibility and accountability for areas such as wellbeing, performance management, absence management, conduct and development.
Manage the team effectively with adherence to commercial performance and resource management via productivity and time methods.

It's essential you have:

* Degree in Architecture or equivalent
* Have five+ years professional experience as an Architectural Designer
* Strong design and drawing skills
* A keen interest in buildings and the built environment
* Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals
* An understanding of the relationship between people, buildings and the wider environment
* Chartership (you are an associate member of CIAT or RIBA) or have chartered membership with CIAT or RIBA
* Microsoft Office proficiency
* CAD proficiency
* An ability to take ownership for own personal development

Communication:

* Discuss the objectives, requirements and budgets of projects
* Liaise with construction professionals on the feasibility of potential projects
* Prepare and present feasibility reports and high quality design proposals to the client
* Work around constraining factors such as planning
legislation, building regulations, environmental impact and project budget
* Prepare applications for planning and building control / details and specifications for
pricing and construction issue
* Choose materials to be used and the requirements for the project

BIM Roles and Responsibilities:

* Hold an awareness of BIM, its strategic and operational importance to Concertus and how it is used by design and property teams.
* Demonstrate an ability to understand and promote Concertus' BIM capabilities to stakeholders and clients.
* Lead and manage teams and individuals who implement our BIM strategy and processes, ensuring compliance and quality.
* Enable integration and coordination of design information within CDE.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and clients to populate the CDE and BIM software with the necessary information required for design teams to utilise BIM.
* Enable integration and coordination of design information within BIM software.
* Design using BIM software, working from one collaborative model and ensuring the accuracy of information.
* Identify and resolve issues relating to clash detection.
* Production of design outputs related to a discipline specific, packaged-based or time-based task.
* Direct the production of task information in compliance with standards and methods.

Business Strategy:

* Assist with leading the Architectural team strategy for the business
* Support with the development of a team business plan linked to the Concertus strategic business plan
* To have a sound understanding of the Concertus strategic business plan, providing support accordingly
* Cultivate new business clients and retain existing clients

Your Package:

£45,000 per annum

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 26 after a year of service

2 months full sick pay plus an additional 2 months half sick pay
