The Edwin Group is a growing collective of education companies, working together to positively impact the lives of young people. We offer a range of recruitment, safeguarding, training and wellbeing services to support schools across the country.

We are expanding our in-house Design team, which forms part of the Group's Marketing and Communications team, with the addition of two full-time graphic design positions – a Senior Graphic Designer (temporary maternity cover) and Graphic Designer (permanent).

The talented designers will be part of a fast-paced and teamwork-orientated environment, supporting The Edwin Group and its subsidiaries. You will produce creative artwork for both print and digital use, which will enable us to engage with our target audiences and help our businesses grow.

The Senior Graphic Designer will report to the Group’s Director of Marketing and manage the Graphic Designer whilst our Head of Design is on maternity leave. 

Key responsibilities:

Developing creative and engaging artwork and assets for materials targeted at education professionals, schools and students. This includes designing printed literature, on and offline campaigns, adverts, emails, presentations, direct mails, animations, event and exhibition materials and other materials in line with the company’s brand identity.
Proofing, quality-checking and preparing artwork and content for printing/publishing.
Designing, updating and organising internal documents and templates and helping manage the Group’s photo library and sourcing appropriate imagery.

The Senior Graphic Designer will also:

Support the Graphic Designer with their work and delegate work to them.
Help to manage brand implementation and consistency across The Edwin Group and its subsidiaries.
Monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency from other members of the Design team.
Liaise with other teams, branches and external companies on any design requirements.

Requirements of the Graphic Designer

Essential:

A degree in Graphic Design or similar, or evidence of work experience equivalent to this level.
An impressive portfolio of work demonstrating your graphic design skills and creativity across both print and digital projects.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple projects and produce quality work whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
Have great communication skills, be able to liaise with other members of the team and the ability and confidence to build relationships with staff across the Group at all levels.
Be organised and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Desirable:

Adobe Dreamweaver and After Effects and video editing skills.
Requirements of the Senior Graphic Designer

Essential:

In addition to the above requirements of the Graphic Designer, the Senior Graphic Designer will also:

Have good knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver and HTML emails.
Have experience of delegating work and discussing briefs and projects with colleagues.
Have experience of liaising with external companies and suppliers.
What we offer

The salary ranges for the roles are £27k – £30k for the Senior Graphic Designer and £25k – £28k for the Graphic Designer. 

On top of a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing to 31 days after 2 years and an annual bonus.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5pm and Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

Location: Remote working, although we have offices across the country, so we can accommodate hybrid working if preferred.
