Based just outside of Bury St Edmunds, our engineering client requires an experienced and dynamic Welder Fabricator Fitter to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years relevant work experience, be qualified to minimum NVQ/City & Guilds level as well as having good communication and general fabrication skills. It is essential that the candidate be a team player with good organisational and proven technical skills with the ability to produce high quality work.
Previous experience in mechanical pipe work installation on both industrial process plant and filling and packing machinery or similar mechanical experience is preferred. Coding would be advantageous.
The position is a 50%/50% split between workshop and site work
Requirements
* 3 years relevant work experience – Fitter Welder Fabricator
* Qualified to NVQ/City & Guilds level or similar
* Skilled in TIG,MIG & MMA
* Pipe work – Welding, Fabrication and installation
* Coded Welder (Desirable)
* Experience with – Mild Steel, Stainless Steel & Aluminium
* General sheet metal & fabrication skills
* Good communication & organisational skills
Salary/Rates between £15 – £17ph depending on experience.
