Overview
My client is searching for a trainee accountant, this position would suit an intelligent and proactive graduate who is numerate, with excellent communication skills. Ideally you will already have at least one year experience gained in practice or a finance role in industry.
Trainee Accountant – About the Role
This is a trainee role for progression to qualification as a Chartered Accountant. The role is within the Audit/Accounts team and will involve general accounts work such as preparing financial accounts, bookkeeping and management accounts, together with statutory audit assignments.
In addition, you will also have the opportunity to gain experience in both personal and corporate tax.
The successful Trainee Accountant will have:
At least one-year relevant accounting experience.
In order to be considered for this role you will be a graduate in Accountancy & Finance or Business or Economics with a keen interest in figures, you will also have achieved a 2.1 or above in your degree.
Overall, a strong mathematical academic background including excellent GCSE grades is essential, together with an interest in accounting and the desire to begin a career in practice.
Ideally you will also have gained some excellent first-hand experience in accounting or finance either during your degree or subsequently.
A full UK driving licence together with your own transport is required.
