Technical Compliance Assistant
Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Technical Compliance Assistant for our client a Fresh Produce Business based in Maidstone in Kent .In this role you will work alongside the compliance coordinators and global suppliers to ensure all products sourced are safe and legal.
The Person
* Educated to university degree level.
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels and disciplines.
* Experience within fresh produce.
* Good attention to details.
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Strong work ethic, deadline focused.
Job Requirements
* Complete weekly compliance reporting on the due diligence (DD) platform and support the department to prioritise and close compliance gaps on the system.
* Support the Senior Technical Compliance Manager for Berries to collate, file due diligence prior to supply to the final customer and throughout the supply period.
* Liaise with suppliers to collate accurate and relevant DD information relating to food safety, good agricultural practice, ethical and environmental certifications.
* Complete supplier risk assessments prior to supply to support company surveillance testing for pesticides and biological pathogens.
* Manage supplier arrivals and chemical (pesticide) residue requests to ensure that product supplied to the final customer is compliant with UK and EU legislation.
