Role:
ONE Consulting have been engaged to recruit a Software Team Lead for a high technology engineering company based on the South Coast of England.
The role is ideal for an experienced Senior Software Engineer, Software Lead or Technical Lead with expertise in embedded software development, particularly C/C++.
Objectives:
− An expert software developer for the company, overseeing and managing a number of embedded software development projects through a team of professional software developers.
− Deliver higher-level embedded software development including application development and software architectures.
− Input on bids, with occasional customer facing meetings (onsite and offsite) for requirement capture.
− Sub-contractor management for key programmes using specialised suppliers for niche developments.
− Lead the team using Agile software development principles and practices.
Experience, Skills & Requirements:
− Ideally degree or masters qualified in computer science, engineering, mathematics or relevant subject.
− Good technical skills:
o C/C++ software development engineering language skills.
o Linux O/S and driver development (yocto).
o UML software architecture and requirements analysis
o Experience/exposure/understanding of video processing, signal processing, Ethernet, DDS systems.
− Experience of leading a software team or a software development projects with responsibility for delivery via a software team.
− Applied working knowledge of Agile software development processes, Agile product owner or Scrum Master.
− Ability to manage sub-contract requirements flow-down.
− Strategic software product planning skills.
Salary and Benefits:
− Salary c£50k – £70k p/a, depending on experience.
