Focus 5 Recruitment are looking for a Social Media Manager to work in an exciting and growing Social and Media focussed company with a presence in both Manchester and London. This is a super exciting client who are working with some of the biggest brands and producing some of the most viewed content across social and mainstream media channels.

The Social Media Manager will be a self-motivated Social Media Manager with a great network of social & viral content creators to manage the flow of content from creators and submissions through to client delivery.

You’ll be expected to assure the high quality of the content coming in and going out of the business, liaise with talented content creators on a daily basis, prepare and send content briefs as well as being able to spot the best viral content. You’ll be ambitious and hard-working enough to stay ahead of the competition and will be reporting directly to the Senior Creative Manager.

You will join an experienced team and have your say in the direction and strategy of work from day one. In this Social Media Manager role, you will have a high workload to deliver, and sometimes the deadlines are short, so you will need to be able to be flexible with your hours, manage your workload and be prepared to work hard.

The Social Media Manager role:

. Build and manage a team of talented social editors, including briefing creators for videos

· Be responsible for the video submissions and constantly aim to increase the volume of submissions

· Spot the most viral and trending content online and clear them for distribution

· Be responsible for the flow of content from creators through to online distribution

Experience Required:

. Understand the technical specifications of online video delivery

· Excellent time management skills, and very detail-orientated

· Resourceful online research skills with knowledge of video-sharing platforms like Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tiktok

· Self-motivated to achieve goals with limited supervision

· Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies

· Knowledge of image clearance and intellectual property rights

· Ability to differentiate between an original video upload and a re-uploaded copy

· Ability to work independently, using an analytical approach to decision making

· Knowledgeable on the Viral Video space – old & new

· Interested in User Generated Content, and able to watch & analyse videos for long periods of time

· 2+ years’ experience in the Social media Industry with an great understanding of what makes a good video
