Role

This position is a technical role looking after all aspects of client servers, from set up to management and everything in between. There would be some travel to various client sites but most of the work would be from home on a remote working basis.

Candidate Requirements

* Several years of experience of running and managing Ubuntu Linux server infrastructure and networks.

* Ubuntu Server administration including updates, planned maintenance, security, NFS and basic scripting.

* Apache/Nginx setup, maintenance, configuration and optimisation.

* Management of our PHP and MariaDB environment, including database replication and backups.

* ZFS management including snapshots, clones and pool rebuild on large volumes of data.

* Firewall administration, OpenVPN, PfSense, DNS and general networking.

* Monitoring of servers and infrastructure and maintenance of technical documentation.

* Creation of standard build templates and plans for servers and other infrastructure.

* Plan and supervise 3rd party penetration testing and security audits.

* Provide support to our internal team and assist with solution design.

* Create and maintain close working relationships with data centre providers and conduct site visits.

* Liaise with our client's technical teams and develop strong relationships.

* Maintain production, test, demo and development environments.
