Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity in the midlands with a well respected main contractor.
The company is a main contractor operating in the midlands Design & Build market from their regional offices in the West Midlands. The company undertakes new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects across the region with project values of typically £1-5 Million. The business has been established for over twenty years and has an excellent client base from which they gain a large degree of repeat business; a financially healthy balance sheet and a reputation as being an inclusive employer who look to invest in the development of their staff. They are particularly successful in the retail, industrial, student accommodation and commercial sectors. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will report to the Commercial Manager and be responsible for overseeing 2-3 projects from start to handover. The role will involve all manner of commercial responsibilities including elements of sub-contract procurement, measurement and remeasures, payments, valuations, variations, cost reporting and production of final accounts.
The business is currently in a strong position going forward with a healthy order book for 2018/9 and beyond. Successful applicants will have a proven track record of undertaking the role of Senior QS for a main contractor who undertake projects of a similar size and nature. In addition successful applicants should hold an HNC or degree level qualification in a construction discipline.
