We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a Senior Production Assistant. Our client, a trade publisher located in central London, offers a hybrid working arrangement of 2 days in the office along with fantastic benefits. They are seeking a production candidate experienced in colour print to join their small yet dynamic team.

As a Senior Production Assistant, your primary responsibility will involve overseeing the daily workflow of assigned titles. This entails ensuring timely delivery, upholding quality standards, and staying within budget constraints. Collaboration with key departments such as Editorial, Design, Sales, Rights, and Marketing will be essential to achieve company objectives.

Key Skills Required:

Cost Analysis and Financial Planning: Assess expenses related to sales, rights acquisition, and specialized sales, while maintaining strict budgetary control.
Schedule Coordination: Employ Biblio software to organize important dates, track deadlines, and adjust title schedules as needed.
Procurement of Printed Materials: Engage in negotiations with suppliers, handle tender processes, and efficiently oversee print procurement operations.
Digital Workflow Oversight: Manage the electronic publishing workflow using Biblio, supervise quality control procedures, and ensure prompt uploading of digital bundles.
Financial Oversight: Monitor expenditure to ensure reprinting activities remain within allocated budgets, and finalize discrepancies at the conclusion of the production cycle.

The ideal applicant should have a strong grasp of technical skills, particularly with Microsoft Office software. They need to showcase excellent organisational abilities, capable of efficiently handling various tasks and deadlines. A sincere enthusiasm for the publishing sector and a keen willingness to learn are greatly appreciated attributes.
