The Company: Our Client, an innovative dynamic passionate manufactures minimal invasive next-generation robotic-assisted medical devices that are at the forefront of how surgical procedures are carried out. An award-winning company that plans to significantly disrupt the way surgery is performed for the benefit of millions of patients all around the world.
Due to sustained continued expansion and internal promotion they now require a Senior Human Factors Engineer to help the products meets the needs of the Surgeons, Nurses and Healthcare Professionals who will work with it
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Leading the human factors engineering efforts in the research and development team
* Lower the risk to patients associated with user errors and misuse.
* Engineer subsystems and interfaces to improve user experience
* Lead the planning, moderating and reporting of formative and summative usability studies
The Person: Candidates suitable for consideration should be able to provide evidence of the following:
* A Degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors or Industrial Design.
* Previous experience in working as part of a development team to meet Human factors and usability objectives in a dynamic, challenging and exciting environment
* Not only will you be comfortable observing and interviewing people in clinical situations, you’ll also be great at putting them at ease
* A track record of consistently producing valuable, well-written, deliverables containing solid and actionable recommendations
* Previous experience of working within Medical Device (ISO13485) experience (desirable but not essential)
You will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be computer literate, and able to work as part of a team.
The successful candidate will enjoy a salary of between £60,000 to £75,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits / Prospects (including Relocation Assistance) plus excellent prospects and an employment package that you would expect from a company that values its employees.
