Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a leading agricultural manufacturing business find a full-time Senior Cab Design Engineer, and the role comes with an attractive salary up to £65,000 per annum and benefits package.

As a Senior Cab Design Engineer, you will report to the Chief Engineer of the R+D team who is based outside of the UK, this role offers the opportunity of complete hybrid working, but you could alternatively work remotely and report into the Shropshire Office on an intermittent basis that works for you.

This role will also involve you to travel regularly and the hiring manager is estimating that 25% of the role will involve some overseas travel between Europe & India, so you MUST be prepared to do the international travel.

The hiring manager is looking for someone that has experience with Interior Trim Design, HVAC and Integration/HMI.

The hiring manager is also looking for someone that has experience with 3D CAD Design (Creo), 2D drafting tools and PLM system experience (preferably Windchill).

Working knowledge and integration of subsystems such as cab lighting, wiper system, linkages for controls such as brake, clutch, PTO, 4WD, hydraulic controls, etc
Cab vibration mounts and mounting integration 
Cabin NVH management and sealing knowledge on cab styling – interior and exterior
Operator space management and colour harmonisation of interiors.
To apply for this Senior Cab Design Engineer role, you must be degree-qualified in a mechanical (or transferrable) engineering discipline and have 5+ years of experience working on European operator cabins. You will also require:

Experience in HVAC system integration with cabin
Knowledge of cab material requirements, testing requirements, homologation requirements
Work experience in the Creation and management of cabin & HVAC systems layout, detailed design, design verification using appropriate design tools, release of drawings and other design documents, and engineering bill of materials
Work experience in GD&T, Stack-up analysis, Design calculations, FEA, DFMEA, Design for assembly, and Design for manufacturing considering safety, serviceability, ergonomics, and aesthetics
You'll receive an excellent salary up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience) and benefits package for your knowledge, expertise, and flexibility.
