SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £65 – £85/day
SEN Teaching Assistants are needed for immediate supply positions for a lovely SEN school we work with in the Consett area of Durham. We have positions in this school with children with needs ranging from ASD, MLD, behavioural issues and PMLD/complex needs.
Experience in supporting children with any of the above needs would be an advantage but is not essential – a willingness to learn and engage with SEN children is the most important quality we are looking for. If you have experience as a support worker in a residential care environment we would be keen for you to apply.
Ideally you will hold a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above although that is not essential. Posts vary from short term to long term but we require staff that are flexible and willing to learn from experienced staff at the school.
You will have or be prepared to obtain a DBS check and we will need to carry out our vetting checks in a face to face interview at our Sunderland office. In addition, we will need to take up at least two references.
