Learning Support Assistant – Biggleswade, Bedfordshire – Fixed contract – February 2023 start – full time (part time options available) – £70 to £90 per day

Class Education are working with a school in Biggleswade who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant
The School –
This is a highly respected local special school for pupils with a range of complex learning needs including sensory, behavioural and physical impairment from Early Years up to Key Stage 4.
The Role-
* To support the pupils between 8.45 – 3.15 both in the classroom and at break and lunchtime with their additional needs
* Follow specific terms of pupil’s Health Care Plan
* Act on daily adjustments to Health Care Plan as advised by the parent/carers
* Liaise with parents and carers by log and telephone in a prompt manner
* To support pupils with their class learning
The Person –
* Experience of working with children with additional need
* Experience of working with pupils in EYFS
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* Basic knowledge of first-aid
* Ability to accurately keep records
* Ability to work in a team
* NVQ Childcare Learning and Development preferrable but not essential
