About the role
To maintain and support the company I.T. Infrastructure providing the highest possible accessibility to services and Information. To provide the company with high quality technical support and advise to resolve problems keeping staff and its customers as productive as possible. To provide remote support to customers as and when required.
Main responsibilities:
• Logging of I.T. Helpdesk calls and monitoring of any relevant IT Mailboxes.
• 1st/2nd line support of Personal Computers and associated options/accessories.
• 1st/2nd line support for Microsoft O365 application suites and company software.
• 1st/2nd line support of general Local Area Network connectivity, including Network Interface Cards and associated software.
• 2nd line support of Remote Access Systems Clients, VPN
• Group Local Area Network and associated systems and services for Remote and Mobile staff.
• 2nd line support of mobile devices (Android & iOS smartphonestablets), including any associated MDM solution.
• 2nd line support of VOIP lines/systems and associated extensions.
• 2nd line support front office and back office transaction processing systems & software suites.
• Raise faults on private Inter-branch network with 3rd party systems maintainers.
• Assist in Infrastructure project’s set from PDR and objectives / strategy decisions made by Management where necessary.
• Support of anti-virus suite & other security filters.
• Support of remote offices and clients, involving minimal offsite visits.
• Implementation of new procedures, software & hardware in line with the needs of company systems.
• Liaising regularly with Head of IT Infrastructure on daily activities.
Candidate Requirements
• Ability to work well within a team environment as well as being able to work on own initiative.
• Evidence of building constructive and influential relationships with all contacts.
• Can demonstrate capability in making positive commercial impact/contributions.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written, to internal and external customers in various and sometimes high pressure situations.
• The ability to adapt to constantly changing environments and deadlines.
• The ability to assimilate information quickly.
• The ability to perform problem diagnosis and resolution using structured techniques, demonstrating the ability to analyse and diagnose situations logically, accurately and quickly.
• A firm knowledge of Windows 10 Professional.
• A firm knowledge of O365.
• An overall appreciation of the fundamentals pertaining to Personal Computer’s and associated software / hardware, within Information Technology platforms.
• A basic understanding and appreciation of the main computer networking concepts.
• Foundation Level ITIL3 or ITIL 4 advantageous.
• Previous use of Service Now advantageous.
