AG Products is an agricultural engineering and livestock bedding company based in Knutsford, Cheshire, designing/manufacturing equipment and supplying bedding material to farmers.

With product launches in the pipeline and having recently partnered with The University of Liverpool to develop an autonomous cow cubicle bedding unit capable of defining the customers’ bedding requirements thereby improving livestock health and efficiency, the role to supply bedding products to this customer base is a key position within the company’s growth plan.

AG Products are currently seeking an office-based animal bedding sales executive to join their sales team to define this exciting role.

About the Role

You will seek to further expand AG Products animal bedding division through the identification, activation and ongoing account management of new customers and suppliers.

Ideally from an agricultural background, you will bring passion, tenacity and determination to win new business, nurture existing relationships and have the commercial awareness to drive profitability whilst focusing on the quality of product and customer satisfaction. This is a fast-paced role with many variables and as such an eye for detail, planning and organisational skills are prerequisite for the successful candidate.

Main Responsibilities
Build and maintain a steady growth of existing and new customers and suppliers.
Quote customers and send samples to customers as required.

Negotiate to achieve the best price for both the company and the customer.

Logistics control.
Sales administration.

Maintain excellent customer relationships.
Work towards team and individual incentives.
Identify and develop improvements to your department.

Build and maintain a close working relationship with colleagues across the company.
Meet company’s deadlines and objectives.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Effective communicator.

Drive & Determination.

Planning & organisational skills.

Proficient with Microsoft office, especially excel.

GCSE C+ in Maths & English.
