Internal Sales Administrator – Part Time
We are looking for an Internal Sales Administrator to join a busy and growing Engineering company in Tamworth. This role is ideal for any candidate with a previous Sales/Sales Administration experience within Engineering or Manufacturing sectors.
The company have been in operation now for over 60 years, since their opening they have provided a specialist service to engineering companies nationwide.
Job Purpose;
The role will include – supporting external sales personnel, including telephone sales, customer quotations, process pack and ship customer orders, involvement in goods in, stock control, progress goods on order, work to and maintain systems and processes
You will maintain working relationships with External sales executives, technical sales team leader, purchasing and systems manager, e commerce manager and the group marketing team.
The role includes the following;
– Assist in preparations of sales quotations in line with company rules and instructions for the sales team
– Answers telephone sales enquiries in a professional manner in line with company guidelines and ethos
– Proactively seek telephone sales – using the internet, CRM system and sales databases carry out telephone sales promoting our range of cutting tools and welding equipment
– Pack and ship customer orders in line with company guidelines
– Arrange and monitor shipments with couriers
– Progress and chase up goods on order ensuring goods come in as per purchase order required date
– Goods inward processing, unpacking storing goods inward in line with company procedures
– Stock control – store and maintain stocks accurately and in line with company procedures, including stock counts and maintaining records on the company computer system
– Carry out sales process on the company computer system in line with procedures and guidance provided by office manager & purchasing and systems manager
– Answer telephone in a professional manner prioritising sales calls, pass on none-sales related calls directly to relevant person without getting involved in the details of none-sales calls so as to maximise sales related activities
– Follow guidance from and assist e-commerce and marketing team in delivering sales performance required by the company
– Operate company computer system with care and accuracy following standard operating procedures and guidance from finance and systems manager
– Maintain work areas and stores in a clean & tidy environment. The company operates a clean desk policy, and a showroom environment is to be maintained at all times
– Greet visitors and colleagues from other sites in a professional manner and direct to host or meeting
