Our client is a global award-winning engineering company and an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sales Department for a Technical Telemarketer. The role involves all aspects of Customer Relationship Marketing and database maintenance. Telemarketing campaigns on external targeted databases to generate technical and potential sales interest. Pre-qualification of centrally generated sales enquiries including arranging demonstration appointments for our technical sales force.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Identify and generate new sales opportunities through outbound calling to a qualified database of sales contacts. This will include generating requests for product demonstrations for UK field sales colleagues

* Pre-qualification and development of sales enquiries (from exhibitions, emails, website), including arranging demonstrations/appointments for our UK & Ireland field sales team

* Develop sales opportunities from inbound calls and enquiries

* Achieve targets set on a consistent basis

* Clearly and effectively communicate the advantages and benefits of our products

* List-building by researching accounts to identify decision-makers and generate future interest

* Direct qualified opportunities/leads to our UK based sales team

* Maintain accurate and current information in the CRM database

* Assisting UK Sales with preparation of quotations and additional administration duties as required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience with high volume outbound calling – ideally, but not exclusively within a technical environment.

* Experience of selling products and not services

* Excellent spoken communication skills

* Intermediate IT skills (CRM/database, Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Highly organised and self-motivated, with a positive attitude

* Team player able to work with colleagues as part of a successful team

PACKAGE

* This is a permanent position, 36 hours week (although they would consider someone working 28 hours a week)

* Commission related to UK sales/shipments, paid monthly in arrears.
