Sales Executive – Merchants' ERP Software
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £45000 – £65000/annum £50k comm + car allowance
This role is for a new business Software Sales Executive who has ideally sold Merchants' software, or ERP, MRP, Accounting software (or something very similar), to join a rapidly growing software vendor. Your territory will be focused on the Midlands, so whilst Rugby is just a marker point, it would be good if you lived near the Midlands area to facilitate visits to client sites where required. Base salary to £65k, and uncapped commission of around £50k per annum, plus car allowance.
They have around 150 staff so far, the MD is an inspiring guy, and you will have the back up of a great team of marketers, tele-sales execs, pre-sales consultants and the management team. They are busy, doing well and growing to plan.
They are authors of their own ERP solution, it's a flexible, scalable, powerful system designed to be simple to use, which actively helps to identify cost savings and trading opportunities, making their clients' businesses better year on year. It covers things like real time inventory, order processing, distribution, e-commerce, quotes, dispatch, pricing, ePOS, sales & CRM, and full accounts, billing & financials. They are market leaders in the merchants' business software sector and their solution has better functionally and better value than their competitors' products.
They are looking for someone who can handle the full sales cycle, is not afraid to hunt for new business, and has proven successful experience of selling mid-market Merchants' software, ERP / Accounting software / MRP / DMS / WMS solutions or similar. If you understand Merchants Software or have sold into the merchants' market – so much the better (software for timber merchants, builders' merchants, plumbing merchants, agricultural merchants etc.). So that could be Kerridge, prof.it, ECi, Infor, Dynamics NAV / Business Central, SAP Business One, Sage 200, NetSuite, Intact IQ, Dynamics GP, Protean, Merlin, Pinewood, SAP Business ByDesign, or anything similar.
You will have sold into SME's and have a strong background of selling software, solutions, services and licenses. They are looking for a creative thinker, someone who is a strategist and who can look at a market and think about different sales strategies, different routes to market, different services and different sectors. This would suit a successful ERP Sales Executive or BDM, who is bright and intelligent, into personal sales development, into technology, and invests in themselves.
