Account Manager – ERP Software

Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum £20k comm + car allowance
ERP Account Manager for a newly created role within the professional services team to manage circa 80 clients. These are existing clients who have had one of the company's ERP solutions – potentially for years – and are ripe for upgrades and extra licenses and support contracts. You could be talking to customers with 5 users or 100 users, and the software can be sold as "out of the box" or highly customised to fit the clients' business needs.
These clients have not been account managed, and this job is to proactively manage the relationships and build rapport with them; you will become the first touch for these customers.
They are looking for a proactive Account Manager, with proven experience selling ERP type software solutions, who is personable, a consultative sales person, builds great relationships and can nurture and retain customers.
Why is this an amazing job?
The ERP solution has been massively developed over the years from the original basic software into the current state of the art, modern, all bells solution that it is today. The original solution was good for 10 users. The current solution is being sold to companies with up to 500 users. So the potential to upgrade clients is quite amazing. These clients have not been sold to previously since their original purchase, and they have not been account managed.
Whilst the salary is £35-40k to start, with around £20k commission and a car allowance, there is potential to earn significantly more as you build relationships with your client base.
What you need:
Proven account management experience with companies using ERP software
Previous ERP sales experience
Experience of working in the SME sector
You have dealt with solutions that include things like accounting, distribution, inventory management, e-commerce, quotations, and order processing & warehousing solutions
Experience of upselling a combination of software and services such as licenses, support contracts As an Account Manager with these clients, you have the opportunity to sell them new modules, software upgrades, extra training, consultancy time, more licenses and add-on products. You will need to live within 90 minutes of the office near St Albans, as you will have to be in the office 2 or 3 days each week. This role will require a lot of face to face meetings once the world allows all that again – which may be some time away yet!
