Our client has grown to be one of the UK’s largest suppliers of heavy side construction products such as rebar, spacers and steel structural reinforcement into the Civil, Groundwork and Construction industry is looking to develop its material supply added valve services to their customers. This growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted our client is now looking to expand their operations in the Central Belt of Scotland to drive business forward throughout Scotland.

The Role

This is a fundamental role in the company’s business strategy and requires an individual with sales experience of Construction Product Supply, Structural, Steel Re-Enforcement, Foundation Products, Pilling Products or a heavy building product sales background selling to Contractors, applicants from the heavy side merchant or general merchant background would be ideal. Supporting the existing customer base whilst developing high end business relationships with key customers. Applicants will work alongside the internal sales team but provide a technically strong overview of the company’s services and look to add benefit to their relationship with the customer. This will include the promotion of our client’s pre-fabricated and reinforcement solutions into the larger main and specialist subcontractors, civil engineering and ground-works companies.

The Candidate

Suitable applicants must be able to show strong sales awareness or knowledge of general building product supply, structural steel, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Foundation and Pilling or Heavy-Side Building Product supply within the Civil and Construction sector. Sales experience is required and a strong commercial acumen with a good technical knowledge would be of equal interest in this role. Understanding of or ability to understand costing/estimating, large civil and construction projects and an underlying knowledge of the building industry would be ideal. Candidates presently in a construction sales role selling to main and sub-contractors would be ideal as product training will be given.

Basic Salary £25-40K + Bonus + Full company benefits and company car allowance, mobile, laptop, holidays, pension etc.
