Risk and Controls Manager

Salary : £55000 – £65000/annum + Excellent Benefits + Hybrid
My client is a small and established Bank based in Birmingham City Centre. Due to the continued growth of the business they are currently recruiting for a Risk and Controls Manager.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer your main responsibilities will include;
* Monitor and undertake effective review of controls, sampling and thematic challenges over the 1st line activities within all business areas
* Report outcomes and recommendations for control/sampling assessments
* Provide guidance to business heads on the design, purpose and timeliness of controls
* Implementation and deployment of the 1st line BRCM Framework optimising the risk management framework tools
* Deliver effective MI monitoring, early warning indicators and forward looking assessment/forecasting
* Support department heads to accurately capture risk events
* Provide regular reporting on outcomes, trends, recommendations and risk profiling
You will be a Risk and Controls professional with experience of control monitoring, testing and facilitating RCAs and understanding of the 3 line of defence model. You will have experience working in Operational Risk/Business Risk/Internal Audit in Financial Services organisations.
