What’s the role?
The Retail Media Director will be a hands-on leader responsible for growing capabilities and revenue for the Retail Media channel across EMEA
Development of the retail media product across retailers & marketplaces and working with partners such as Amazon, Criteo & direct retailers e.g. Tesco
Leading the retail media strategy, planning & activation for our largest clients e.g. Mars and developing a team of brilliant specialists to deliver
Delivering top-quality of work within the retail media channels working closely with a team of dedicated retail media experts.
Working closely with regional and global product leadership to grow and evolve our retail media approach as best practices change and new opportunities emerge.
On our key clients and new business prospects, this individual will take a key role in developing the planning and execution, from onboarding to ongoing management.
Build cutting-edge solutions that advance our client’s retail media strategies, working with data team to understand how to effectively measure and build tools that can help us adopt a more data-driven approach when it comes to Retail Media
Stay informed on the detail of all Retail Media ad-product offerings that are encompassed within Retail Media Networks and Retail Media Platforms
What this job is:
* Exciting – Be part of a fast-growing agency offering best-in-class retail media services for clients in EMEA- lead new business pitches, onboard large-scale clients, develop cutting-edge retail media strategies and support the agency’s global retail media product development.
* Strategic and Tactical – you will be responsible for leading and evolving our retail media strategy and execution, collaborating with the global team and retail media leadership in other markets.
* Creative – You’ll be responsible not only for ensuring we deliver best-in-class retail media campaigns but also for building the narrative around that service that resonates just as strongly with client executives as it does with subject matter experts.
* Innovative – As the retail media landscape continues to evolve, you’ll ensure our approach evolves with it, identifying emerging trends and opportunities to leverage new retail media ad-tech solutions to drive tangible business outcomes for our clients.
* Collaborative – partnership with all major retail media platforms in EMEA including – Amazon, Criteo, Citrus Ads and other direct retailer relationships as needed.
What this job isn’t:
Behind the scenes – You’ll be talking to clients, prospects, other leaders within our media partners, and the industry as a whole via thought leadership.
Box ticking – You’ll be personally driving the retail media product, setting and executing your own agenda and business plan and tracking value creation within the agency .
A breakdown of what a UK retail media director does:
Thought Leadership:
* Able to synthesise complex changes in the retail media landscape into internal and external thought leadership (presentations, blog posts, POVs, internal processes)
* Developing members of our retail media team into thought leaders and new business experts
* Further elevating the visibility of our established retail media marketing agency in order to attract both clients and talent
* Collaborating with other thought leaders to further develop our perspectives on a best-in-class holistic retail media strategy across all major retail media platforms.
Business and revenue growth:
Able to pitch retail media to clients of different sizes and levels of sophistication, both by itself and in conjunction with other channels (with a proven track record of winning and retaining large retail media accounts).
Able to craft and refine compelling written responses to RFPs.
Able to build a story that resonates with multiple levels of client knowledge, from the extremely granular to the executive-level summary.
Client Leadership:
* Working closely with Client Partners to ensure our retail media services are reflective of client needs and driving business results.
* Ensuring consistency and excellence in clients strategy and the team’s ongoing execution of retail media.
* Fostering deep connections across a team that’s dispersed across multiple locations.
Channel Leadership and product development:
Ensuring that the retail media services we provide to clients are excellent – and consistent
Grow and evolve our retail media approach as best practices change and new opportunities emerge.
Thoughtfully and effectively implementing automation where relevant, inclusive of third- and first-party solutions.
Build strong relationships with our retail media partners extracting maximum support value.
