Our client is a hotel resort and they are hiring an experienced and ambitious Restaurant & Bar Manager to join their hospitality team In Rutland.

Job Title: Restaurant & Bar Manager

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 – depending on experience

Location: Oakham, Rutland, LE15 8AB

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Role’s Purpose:

We are looking for a particular person to join our client as their Restaurant & Bar Manager – someone who can direct and motivate a team while personally assisting in providing a high-quality service for the guests and taking necessary action so that the department achieves its targets. You will also take an active part in building up the business and reputation.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be managing our client’s Restaurant, Private Dining Rooms, and Bar operations while leading and inspiring a large team.

Role’s Responsibilities:

Flavour of the Restaurant & Bar Manager responsibilities;

* Ensure guest satisfaction through high-quality service and good public relations.

* Ensure daily briefings, job allocations, and daily tasks are completed.

* Develop each service including morning coffee, lunch and dinner drinks, afternoon tea, and room service.

* Monitor Review Pro performance and action points as necessary.

* Team management to include, employee relations, absence management, training and development and employee engagement, and rota management.

* Ensure the purchase of all supplies, stock, and equipment is within budgeted guidelines.

* Ensure PAR stocks are correct and stock takes take place monthly.

* Ensure all food and beverage areas are maintained to the highest standards (cleanliness, maintenance of furnishings, and equipment).

* Manage beverage and food gross profit.

* To take Duty Manager shifts and conduct them in line with guidelines.

Candidate Requirements:

* Strong F&B service background from within the luxury hotel or venue sector.

* Great knowledge of and a passion for food and drink.

* Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, and writing).

* Commercially astute and financially aware.

* Excellent management and team leadership skills.

* Highly-organized and efficient approach required with excellent time management.

* Ability to manage varying needs and prioritize to ensure the best business results.

* Energy, drive, stamina, and the ability to work under pressure and to multi-task.
