Position: Regional Service Engineer
Location: Swindon, Bristol, Plymouth
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + Bonus’
Company Van
Monday – Friday
(Role entails travel within the region and occasional overnight stays may be necessary)
Holidays – 25 Days + Bank
Workshop based, but travel is required to cover absences when needed.
The Role:
Service and maintain portable chemical toilets, ADA approved wheelchair access units, and mobile eco welfare units in the South West – Swindon, Bristol, Plymouth.
Carry out routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs as needed to ensure equipment functionality.
Travel between regional depots and customer sites to inspect, service, and repair equipment.
Prioritise service tasks based on urgency and customer needs.
Maintain accurate service records, documenting inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.
Interact with customers professionally, addressing requests and providing technical assistance as needed.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations during all service activities.
Participate in training programs and provide feedback for process improvement.
Stay updated on welfare equipment technology and industry trends to enhance service quality.
What we need from you:
Proven experience in a fitter role with relevant mechanical qualifications or equivalent experience.
Preferably, a comprehensive understanding of welfare units.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
A customer-centric approach to workload management and a dedication to collaborative teamwork.
Valid UK driving license is necessary.
