Fulltime, Monday to Friday Field Based (North)

Can you See Things Through? Do you Deliver Wow? If the answer is yes, come and join us! We’re looking to expand our amazing Compliance team to deliver our innovative, tech driven T&C Scheme.

You will be responsible for leading our team of Supervisors (Compliance Managers & Competency Development Managers) across the North Region to deliver the requirements of the Training & Competency scheme.

Identifying risk and keeping our advisers on the right side of compliance is our focus, and you can help our teams to achieve brilliance.

There’s lots to do …

• Recruitment and induction of all Supervisors within your area, from initial interview through to full competence.

• Ensure adherence to the T&C scheme at all times, at all levels.

• Effectively lead your team to ensure that they:

o supervise advisers to the required level, depending on level of competency/risk rating o monitor and manage any development needs as appropriate

o promptly raise any concerns or areas of risk with AR firms or appointed representatives

o audit of any large or complex AR firms within agreed timescales, where required

o comply with all necessary deadlines

o use initiative to coach advisers.

• Complete quarterly and annual assessments of members of your team as required and document as appropriate.

• Allocate appropriate resource for advisers and businesses, new and existing.

• Regular updates and completion of T&C record system using observation skills to identify areas of concern or development within the team and address promptly, putting development plans in place where needed.

• Promote proactiveness within the team to improve processes and think outside the box.

• Ensure all relevant regulatory knowledge is kept up to date by completing CPD on a yearly basis.

• Identify and manage risk within the business (to include quality of client files, advice quality, advice process, new advisers moving through scheme, operating procedures etc.)

• Produce management reports for the Chief Risk Officer/ Head of Supervision as required and produce content for the board report.

• Audit sign off advisers by CDM’s ensuring that all activity and documentation are at the required standard.

• Promote effective working relationships with key stakeholders to deliver business requirements – for example, L&D, Sales and Business Owners.

• Create a culture of compliance across the group.

• Strive to ensure consistency across the regional and national field team.

• Effectively contribute to regular management meetings.

• Any other activities as required by your Line Manager to meet business needs.

What you’ll need: • CEMAP or equivalent financial services qualification

• Good Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Previous management experience.

Where you’ll be based

This role covers the North area of the UK. You must be willing and able to travel to firms within this region as and when required
