Entrust Recruitment are working with an exciting client based in Nottinghamshire who are currently recruiting for a Developer to work with them on a permanent basis. You will be working to develop the existing front end code base for their web based slingshot platform.
The development work will focus on new functionality and will also involve some bug fixing initially. The Slingshot platform is the technological backbone and a crucial tool for the client and their customers in the operation of their technology suite.
Primary Responsibilities
* To understand the existing Slingshot code base and fix any known, outstanding issues.
* To further develop the feature set of the platform according to our platform roadmap.
* To suggest and, if agreed, implement code refactoring and upgrades.
Experience Required:
Essential Skills Include:
* Web development, specifically knowledge of Javascript and React Redux libraries used in the context of a web-based user interface.
* Highly competent in JavaScript and React.
* Experience with other JavaScript libraries, as might be used in a web-based interface.
* Familiar with Git version control.
Desirable Skills required:
* Experience in server-side coding languages/technologies such as C#, Aspnet Core, ReactiveX, MongoDB and SQL Server
* Knowledge of client/server architecture and experience of writing/maintaining server-side applications.
* Understanding of mathematical principles.
Location Considerations:
The candidate could be based mainly or even entirely at home. Occasional trips to the Nottinghamshire office may be reasonably requested but these are non-essential. Should the candidate prefer to work in the office, this is also perfectly fine. Working hours are generally a little flexible but should be approximately 8:30 to 17:30 to a total of 40 hours per week.
