Your rate of pay and hours of work
The pay rate for this position stands at £15 per hour, with holiday pay accrued on top. Different shifts are available throughout the entirety of Monday to Sunday, spanning from 07:00 to 17:00, which can be chosen based on the candidate’s own preferences and availability.
Responsibilities within your new role
As the Care Home Chef, your primary responsibilities include expertly crafting meals tailored to meet the diverse dietary needs of the residents. Ensuring the availability of high-quality snacks and beverages throughout the day is essential to providing exceptional care. You will also be responsible for managing inventory and restocking all kitchen supplies to maintain efficiency.
Your experience, qualifications and personality
The ideal candidate should possess previous experience as a chef in healthcare or care home environments. A strong work ethic, coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and a willingness to continuously learn on the job, is paramount. The ability to express creativity, introduce innovative ideas, and communicate effectively within a team setting are essential attributes for success in this role.
Candidates must hold a valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate to be considered for this position.
