A vacancy has arisen for a full-time, permanent, Product Specialist to work at our client's office in Woking. The position supports the sales and marketing team in their role of developing new markets for their products, with the objective of establishing working relationships with end-users, resellers, and collaborative partners. While primarily technical, this role contributes directly to sales and business development disciplines and provides customer-facing opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand and define collaborative and customer requirements for the product;
*
Interface with, install and trial third-party software;
*
Identify, test, and verify third-party accessories
*
Liaise with the design team for support and testing of product variants and prototypes;
*
Provide tech support to the global team in identifying relevant markets and specific applications for the product;
*
Assist with product demonstrations internally and externally (Customer demos/Trade shows), UK and international;
*
Prepare equipment, software, and tools for product demonstrations;
*
Oversee the dispatch of equipment for external demonstrations;
*
Support the global sales team with technical inquiries;
*
Prepare specifications and support documentation creation (user manuals, brochures, etc. in conjunction with Design and Marketing Departments);
*
Assist Quality Management with fault investigation;
*
Identify issues preventing progress and escalate for resolution
*
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ESSENTIAL SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
*
Software Engineer / Applications Engineer / Pre-sales Engineer (or similar);
o Capabilities acquired through experience, apprenticeship, degree, or similar.
*
Basic understanding of digital imaging/optics would be beneficial
*
Understanding broad concepts of computer rendering;
*
Basic understanding of software programming;
*
Experience (professional or academic) in any of the following: C#, Javascript, C++, or Python coding;
*
Experience (professional or academic) with issue tracking/planning tool(s) (e.g. JIRA, Trello or similar);
*
Hands-on approach to testing/configuring hardware and software;
*
Customer-facing experience in either technical support or technical sales role;
*
Ability to pre-empt problems through thorough planning
