We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate/Principal Infrastructure and Energy Planner to join our team in Southwest England. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of energy projects, with a particular emphasis on wind and solar developments. As an Associate/Principal Infrastructure and Energy Planner, you will lead and contribute to complex planning applications, with a strong focus on Development Consent Orders (DCOs).
 
Key Responsibilities
·Lead the planning and delivery of infrastructure and energy projects, specialising in wind and solar developments.
·Prepare, review, and submit complex planning applications, including DCOs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
·Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals.
·Conduct site assessments, environmental impact assessments, and feasibility studies to support project development.
·Provide expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients and internal teams.
·Stay up-to-date with industry trends, legislation, and best practices to ensure project success.
·Mentor and support junior team members as needed.
 
Requirements
·Bachelor's or master's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
·Proven experience in the planning and delivery of energy projects, with a focus on wind and solar developments.
·Expertise in preparing and managing complex planning applications, including DCOs.
·Knowledge of the UK planning system, relevant legislation, and environmental regulations.
·Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and authorities.
·Excellent project management abilities.
·A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Membership of a RTPI.
