Portfolio Finance Support
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £50000/annum
Eventus Recruitment are seeking a CIMA qualified Accountant to look after a portfolio of businesses. You will be acting as a key contact between individual businesses to develop strong and trusted relationships. Hybrid working between home, businesses within the portfolio, and Head Office based in Altrincham.
Role Responsibilities
You will Interpret results, forecasts, KPI’s and wider market trends and independently provide proactive management & solutions for the Non-Exec Team, key staff within the businesses and the companies team.
Onboarding of New Acquisitions
You will be Attending and contributing to initial onboarding meetings to understand work completed pre deal around the details of the business and operations, ensuring funding structure, covenants, deferred consideration, earn-outs are understood and reflected correct from a financial perspective. Leading meetings with finance teams of new acquisition and developing key staff members to ensure can competently complete deliverables. Collection of key information for central databases and analysis, building on pre deal work around operations and ensuring complexities for the business and any risks are fully understood. Attending and contributing to post deal summary meetings to reflect assumptions in the initial deal model and comparing to actual results to date post acquisition , assisting with the acquisition accounting and suggest any fair value adjustments required based on understanding of the business.
Finance Team Assistance
You will Assist with budget & forecast completion , assist with any audit/tax issues that can’t be resolved within the business, establish a base level of controls within the business and develop internal staff members to reduce any dependence on operational finance.
Person Specification
You will have a good understanding of key trends within each business and tracking this , regular meetings with Non Exec Directors to review businesses within portfolio, review of monthly MI packs and future forecasts, review of cashflows , working capital forecasts and quarterly rolling forecasts.
