Operations Catering Manager – Stansted
D&R Recruitment have an amazing opportunity to work with a private airline catering company based out of Stansted airport. This is a new, exciting role that will require on the job learning. This role would be suitable for a current catering manager or area manager looking for a change.
Job description:
* Overall responsibility for ensuring that food safety practices are observed.
* communicate and maintain the food specifications ensuring they meet the appropriate standards.
* Work with other managers to ensure the smooth operation.
* Understand the Operations function and day to day activities to improve processes between functions.
* Support other sites.
* Conduct supplier meetings, identify new products and suppliers ensuring contracts are established and communicate with relevant departments.
* Monitoring and management of staff performance. Regularly providing feedback both constructive and positive. Dealing with capability issues with the support of Human Resources
* Ensure a formal, structured induction programme is in place for all new staff.
* Work with Management and or Human Resources to create and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the team.
* The ability to communicate key information to the team. Including both positive and constructive feedback but leave the team motivated.
* Take an active part in management meetings.
* Able to problem solve should issues arise]
* Flexible work approach
* Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with clients.
* Attend current client meetings and new client meetings.
* Flexible with hours and days worked but predominantly Monday to Friday.
