Summary:
SNS Recruitment LTD are looking for a nursery chef to provide healthy and nutritious meals for children aging from 0-5 years.
We require someone who can prepare a varied, nutritious rolling weekly menu including hot and cold food within an excellent working environment.
Consulting with the Nursery Manager regarding weekly food orders and maintaining food stock.
Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy.
Ensuring all appropriate regulatory measures are taken to ensure the high standards of hygiene are maintained.
Salary & Working Hours:
Salary – £27.5k per annum
Working Hours – 8 am-5 pm, 5 days per week
Responsibilities:
To freshly prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children aged 0 – 5 years, adhering to special dietary requirements and allergens.
To work together with all Nursery staff and parents/carers to ensure dietary needs are met for all children.
To maintain high standards of the Nursery kitchen by following environmental health and nursery procedures.
To carry out regular cooking activities within the classroom, with the support of our early years practitioners.
A passion for cooking and a good understanding of food standards requirements and nutrition.
Skills / Qualifications:
Enhanced DBS Check required
Experience of operating a kitchen is ideal
Basic Food Hygiene certificate
knowledge of food preparation and catering for children with allergies.
Ability to manage self and time manage food for serving.
Health and Safety knowledge
