Multi-Skilled PPM Engineer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000/annum + Overtime + Benefits
Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled PPM Engineer interested in joining one of the UK’s leading food manufacturing companies based in Lancashire?
You will be working within the Engineering and Operations Team carrying out Planned Proactive Maintenance, offering quick solutions to problems to maintain production and to provide long term solutions to prevent the reoccurrence of an issue.
You will be involved in both Preventative and Reactive Maintenance and play a key role in production line improvements, working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week).

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Managing and carrying out preventative maintenance programme for plant and equipment
* Proactive approach to developing the PPM system
* Ensure all paperwork is completed and records are kept up to date
* Assist process engineers with commissioning of new equipment
* Carry out health and safety assessments of new and existing equipment and liaise with process engineers to ensure safety procedures are communicated
* Ensure the site is run efficiently with engineering solutions and recommendations
* Equipment downtime is reduced via a proactive approach to maintaining equipment
* Initiate improvements in maintenance practices, systems and procedures leading to continuous improvements in reliability, quality, cost, GMP and customer service
* Assist with analysing effective repairs and maintenance spending
As a Multi-Skilled PPM Engineer you will have:
* Time-served apprentice background
* FMCG experience preferably in food
* Good interpersonal skills
* Highly numerate and literate
* Working knowledge of CMMS
* Able to prioritise and identify solutions
* High tech, fast paced production machinery
* Relentless determination to reduce PM losses
* Passionate about developing self
