The Job You’ll Do;
* To maintain all plant, equipment and facilities to ensure minimal disruption and cost to site.
* Control departmental budgets with support from Operations Manager.
* Provide engineering support for the surrounding areas and Glasshouse, working closely with the Growers and Glasshouse Manager.
* To ensure Health and Safety of all engineering tasks are maintained on site with records kept up to date to comply with legislation and to be audit ready.
* Ensure site has adequate breakdown cover during out of hours, weekends and bank holidays.
* Provide support and mentor the current engineering apprentice.
* Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner.
* Develop and manage planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
* Operate maintenance Forklift Truck and Elevated Working Platform as required.
* Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to management.
* Assist with the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment.
* Ensure the site has adequate spares in line with agreed stock levels.
* Ensure contractor control for all engineering tasks is correctly managed.
* Ensure all Engineering risk assessments are completed.
* Maintain the on-site caravans and complete necessary repairs.
* Maintain list of capital spend required for continual improvement through CAPEX.
* Be able to travel to other sites to give support if and when required.
* Typical example of work would be to respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault repair and return equipment to operational service.
About You;
* Good IT skills – competent in Excel/Word/ and Power point.
* 18th Edition electrical qualification.
* Electrical Bias would be preferable with good Mechanical skills.
* Well organised and professional approach.
* Able to escalate anything major in a timely professional way.
* Able to deliver to agreed timescales
