My client, a successful specialist in Excavation and plant are recruiting for an Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Commercial Auto Electrician Mobile Plant Fitter / Mobile Auto Electrician / Agricultural Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / Diesel Mechanic for their business.
Key responsibilities for the Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Commercial Auto Electrician Mobile Plant Fitter / Mobile Auto Electrician / Agricultural Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / Diesel Mechanic:
·Test vehicles and plant machinery and diagnose faults
·Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
·Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
·Complete job records
·Order replacement parts
·Leave and attend breakdowns at short notice
·Ability to listen
Essential Qualities for the Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Commercial Auto Electrician Mobile Plant Fitter / Mobile Auto Electrician / Agricultural Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / Diesel Mechanic:
·Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle or plant and agriculture)
·Strong experience in electrics over hydraulics
·Ability to leave and attend a breakdown at short notice
·Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably heavy vehicle) eg City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, Level 2 also be considered)
·Driving licence (preferably HGV)
·Computer literate
·Ability to work well under pressure
·Team player
·Ability to use own initiative
·Attention to detail
·Problem solving skills
·Available for overtime
Desirable Qualities for the HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer / Fleet Engineer / Diesel Mechanic:
·Commercial mechanical experience
·Please note successful candidates will be required to possess their own tools.
·Mobile experience is an advantage
