EXCITING NEW SUPERVISORY ROLE FOR AN ESTABLISHED MECHANIC WITH A BACKGROUND IN HGV/LGV/FARMING/AGRICULTURE!

Are you qualified to Advanced or Master Technician level?

Do you have experience working on farm contracting equipment and machinery?

No two days are the same in this Workshop Supervisor role! Typical duties include:

Day to day management of a busy workshop and the team including work allocation and resources

Responsibility for maintaining farm contracting equipment, machinery, and fleet vehicles. This includes vans, self-propelled machines, LGV units, trailers/tankers, and agricultural equipment

Procurement: parts; consumables

Overall management of the goods in/out process

Carrying out fabrication, welding, and machinery work where needed

Extensive open communication with customers and internal teams to ensure work is carried out efficiently

Carrying out services, repairs, and MOT’s

Development and implementation of electronic systems to store information

Acting as expected of a senior, offering technical advice and dealing with escalated queries

Any other duties as required

The successful candidate will have/be:

Demonstrable experience and qualifications as an Agricultural Mechanic or LGV Fitter (BTEC or City and Guilds preferred)

A full UK driving licence, ideally with C+E entitlement

Computer literate with MS Office

Management or supervisory experience

Organised, with experience in procurement

Technically strong with confidence to deal with escalated queries

The ability to work fast under pressure and make accurate decisions
