A Manufacturing Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the world’s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.
This position encompasses planning, tooling, maintenance, plant engineering, releasing, machine shop, assembly, wherever a specific technical assignment may be needed.
Actual work assignments may be typified as follows:
Evaluates such factors as cost, personnel yearly usage, equipment, space, etc. as well as other information needed to determine requirements. Prepares feasibility studies for appropriateness and cost effectiveness and submits recommendations accordingly.
Capital forecasting correlation and reporting as it relates to new product introduction, prime product capacity increases, machine replacement, and methods improvement; substituting material or combining similar parts to realize savings through material prices and machining costs.
Analyse tooling failures and evaluate tool characteristics and requirements.
Plan factory and office layouts for effective utilization of space due to rearrangement, new processes or expansion, determining the need for modern facilities; assembly planning; develop and implement assembly processes in line with CPPD (Concurrent Process and Product Development) and NPI design changes.
To apply for this position you should have some of the following:
Any relevant degree desirable, but experience is key.
Excel and knowledge of SAP.
Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Experience aligning assets through a database.
Additional information
4 day week: 07:30-17:15 Monday, 07:30 16:45 rest of week.
