Maintenance Technician
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £36000 – £39000/annum Plus good company benefits
Our client is a medium size Engineering company based in the Ayrshire area and they require a skilled Maintenance Technician with electrical skills.
The role requires maintenance of CNC Machines in the factory area. This will be mechanical and electrical.
Main duties :-
* Assist manufacturing/production team in optimising machine run times
* Respond immediately to machine breakdowns and keep maintenance records
* Prioritise maintenance requests and carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance effectively
* Understand and support plant improvement projects
* Liaise with contractors on site
* Support and manage the training of Apprentices
* Monitor equipment/machinery performance using agreed KPI's and investigate opportunities for improvement
* Practice all safety and compliance requirements and encourage others
Qualifications :-
* Minimum HNC qualification required
* Must be a time served Mechanical Engineer
Competences :-
* Experienced and time served Mechanical Engineer with excellent mechanical and electrical experience in and industrial/manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of 3 phase systems including reading and interpreting wiring schematics.
* Mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
* Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise
* Adaptable and resilient in working under pressure to tight deadlines
* Self motivated and able to work on own initiative
* Leadership of small teams
* Effective communication skills
* Team player
* Attention to detail
* IT literate
* Organised and structured working
